Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients focusing on alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and maximizing physical capabilities as defined in the care plan.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, ensuring high-quality care is delivered according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of clients' physical abilities pre- and post-treatment, utilizing diagnostic testing to assess muscle, joint, and nerve functionality.
• Perform thorough assessments of clients' home environments and provide recommendations to enhance independence and facilitate rehabilitation.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, traction, and electrotherapy, customizing each approach based on client needs.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting changes in health status, and actively suggesting adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care and address any challenges in treatment or patient engagement.
• Engage in the education of clients and families regarding therapeutic processes, empowering them in the rehabilitation process.
• Complete necessary documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries effectively and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Remain accessible to assist Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring therapeutic interventions are delivered effectively while you oversee tasks.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's degree.
• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for home visits, if applicable.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, reflecting the importance of the role and the level of expertise required.
