Work Environment\n

Your work at Walden will allow for a flexible and supportive environment, combining both remote opportunities and outpatient office settings. Full-time counselors typically work Monday to Friday for eight hours a day, while part-time roles are available on Monday through Saturday, accommodating various personal schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized and evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the needs of each client. This includes developing treatment plans that encompass clients' goals and preferred therapeutic approaches.

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, utilizing various evaluation tools to inform treatment strategies.
\n
• Deliver therapy in multiple formats, including group, family, couples, and individual settings, to ensure diverse patient populations receive effective treatment.

• Employ a range of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, ensuring that interventions are evidence-supported and tailored to individual needs.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive client care and address complex psychological issues.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards of practice to ensure client confidentiality and safety.
\n
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, staying updated on the latest mental health research, techniques, and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LPC at Walden, you will work with a diverse array of patients, including those facing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship dynamics, and other mental health challenges. Our clients range from children to adults; therefore, having a nuanced understanding of various developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific treatment approaches is crucial for delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
\n
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Minimum two years of counseling experience, preferably in clinical settings.
\n
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in psychotherapy.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and related technologies to manage patient information efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience specializing in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma counseling, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
