Key Responsibilities\n

• Directly provide clinical services to students experiencing mental health challenges, including assessing and diagnosing mental health issues, developing treatment plans, and delivering individualized therapy sessions to address their unique needs.

• Facilitate group therapy and family therapy sessions, promoting a supportive therapeutic environment while addressing diverse client backgrounds and cultural perspectives.

• Conduct evidence-based screenings and assessments to ascertain mental health status and treatment needs, ensuring that interventions are appropriate and responsive to individual circumstances.

• Create integrated care plans by coordinating with teachers, parents, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for the student’s mental health and overall well-being.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary, responding to emergency situations with compassion and professionalism while maintaining a safe environment for all clients.

• Participate in team meetings to enhance collaboration, discuss case management, and share insights that promote best practices in mental health care.

• Complete documentation and reports regarding treatment progress and client activities, adhering to compliance and ethical standards set by the organization.

• Support the quality improvement initiatives of the organization by actively participating in committees that focus on enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on providing mental health services to children and adolescents within a school environment, many of whom may face significant life challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. You will work closely with students who require interventions to cope effectively with their emotional challenges, helping them to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New York State.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with clients, families, and staff.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle a diverse caseload efficiently.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with children and adolescents, including awareness of developmental issues and clinical best practices.

• Ability to build trusting relationships with clients, staff, and community partners to foster cooperation and understanding.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in a school-based or community mental health setting, is preferred.

• A background in conducting assessments and treatment planning for diverse populations, especially those experiencing severe emotional disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
