Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide care from your location while engaging directly with students and school personnel. This flexibility is essential in accommodating the unique needs of students, parents, and educational staff. You will be an integral part of virtual inter-disciplinary team meetings and support services via telehealth platforms.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to evaluate students’ mental health concerns, strengths, challenges, and environmental factors impacting their well-being.

• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
\n
• Develop comprehensive, client-centered treatment plans that include measurable goals and regularly assess progress towards those goals.
\n
• Engage in weekly collaboration with other mental health professionals, including school psychologists and medical staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student mental health.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services, perform risk assessments, and develop safety plans for students in distress or at risk.
\n
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Lead psychoeducation classes and support group sessions, helping students develop coping skills and improve peer relationships.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse population of students within the school system, ranging from elementary to high school age. You will be working with children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to social anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding them through their difficulties while promoting resilience and positive mental health practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.

• At least two years of direct experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, particularly with children and adolescents.

• Solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and an ability to apply them effectively in a school environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong capability for empathetic communication and assessment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, employees are eligible for a sign-on bonus, further enhancing the overall benefits package.
