Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique telehealth setting, allowing mental health professionals to work remotely while engaging with clients via secure video conferencing. The flexibility of telehealth enables our therapists to establish a controlled environment that is both comfortable and conducive to open communication. Our full-time work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility in arranging appointments to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' experiences and develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, tailoring interventions to individual clients while taking into account their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

• Provide high-quality therapy through individual, family, and group sessions to address diverse mental health concerns, promote resilience, and facilitate emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and cohesive approach to patient care, including comprehensive treatment plans.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies and provide immediate support during mental health emergencies to effectively manage and stabilize patients.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their mental health journeys.

• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations to ensure high-quality care and accountability.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and continuous cultural competency training sessions to enhance your professional development and the practice as a whole.

• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health therapy to continually refine your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Serene Unity, you will serve a richly diverse patient population, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrants. This multifaceted clientele requires not just clinical expertise, but also an understanding of cultural nuances and emotional resilience factors that influence well-being in these populations. Your ability to offer culturally informed care will be central to improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Robust knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods, underpinned by a commitment to cultural competence.

• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy with a culturally responsive approach.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, including the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with a wide range of patients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong computer proficiency.

• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining professional boundaries, and upholding confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

While the primary requirement is for licensed candidates with relevant educational backgrounds, preference will be given to those with additional training in culturally competent therapy and experience in working within diverse communities. Previous telehealth experience will be an advantage in this remote position.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
