Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of patients' medical histories to inform treatment strategies.
• Engage in direct consultations with patients to understand their physical conditions and symptomatology comprehensively.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction and develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's needs.
• Instruct patients on the effective use of therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper techniques are utilized to prevent injury.
• Implement manual therapy techniques, including massage, to promote healing and restore body function.
• Assist patients with mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers, instructing them on safe usage.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records, tracking progress towards rehabilitation goals.
• Provide advice and education to patients and their families about home care strategies and exercises that support recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care to ensure comprehensive treatment plans are executed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve are primarily individuals navigating recovery from orthopedic issues, which may include post-surgical rehabilitation, injury recovery, or management of chronic conditions. You will work closely with patients of various ages, ensuring each treatment plan respects their unique needs and encourages active participation in their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid state Physical Therapy license.
• At least 3 years of experience in the field, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assessing and addressing a variety of health conditions.
• Strong computer and documentation skills, proficient in electronic health records systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 3 years of experience is required, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities or advanced treatment techniques will be given preference. Experience in home care settings is particularly valuable, as it will enhance your ability to deliver optimal care in patient's homes.
