Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility in your working environment while still maintaining vital connections with team members and patients. Mental health counselors will partake in virtual consultations and patient assessments, with occasional in-person sessions as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including crisis intervention and ongoing assessments to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to the needs of each patient.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate mental health care levels and coordinate patient disposition for their optimum well-being.

• Document clinical findings accurately and maintain statistical reports as mandated by our organization and relevant regulatory bodies.

• Engage with the Department of Correction to ensure seamless access to psychiatric services and appropriate housing for patients requiring such resources.
\n
• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on skills development and engagement in treatment, particularly in mental health observation units.
\n
• Participate actively in clinical supervision sessions to refine your skills and ensure quality treatment delivery.
\n
• Contribute to case conferences, collaborating closely with your colleagues to optimize treatment plans and outcomes for patients.
\n
• Possibly conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns, nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our mental health counselors will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and severe emotional disturbances. Counselors will adapt therapeutic approaches to best meet the unique needs of each individual or group, ensuring that cultural, social, and personal factors are understood and addressed in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Preferred Experience\n

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Previous experience in outpatient or community mental health settings.
