Work Environment

This role will primarily entail working onsite in clients' homes throughout the Culpeper region. You will engage directly with clients in their familiar environments, tailoring interventions that best meet their individual needs. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans that focus on relieving pain, restoring function, and enhancing the overall quality of life for clients based on their specific capabilities.
• Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper execution of treatment protocols and an optimal continuum of care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities, making informed decisions based on diagnostic tests related to muscle and joint function.
• Assess home environments to recommend modifications that support clients' rehabilitation goals and foster independence.
• Deliver in-home physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, providing direct guidance and motivation to clients during recovery sessions.
• Administer physical agents, including massage and traction, to assist in pain relief and recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, and make recommendations to physicians as necessary.
• Document client interactions meticulously, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring accurate records in accordance with OASIS standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork for case conferences, contributing to a holistic approach for client care and adjusting plans based on feedback from team members.
• Educate clients and their families on the use of therapy aids and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Stay accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance and oversight during treatment sessions in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Complete other tasks necessary to meet organizational goals and enhance client satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Calm Body, you will primarily serve clients in home settings, ranging from elderly patients requiring rehabilitative support post-surgery to individuals with chronic conditions looking to regain functionality and mobility. Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in acute care or home healthcare.
• Current, valid PT licensure in Virginia with standing in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality care, and patient-centric methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage and connect with clients and their families effectively.
