Work Environment

The position is onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center which is designed to support a wide range of physical therapy services. Our facility features state-of-the-art technology and resources, ensuring that therapists have what they need to deliver effective treatments. You'll work a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while engaging in meaningful patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to Virginia state practice acts, ensuring compliance with all regulations governing physical therapy practice and supervision.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients' functional limitations and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Perform specialized evaluations by reviewing patients' medical histories, conducting required assessments, and documenting significant findings for tailored treatment interventions.
• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, utilizing evaluation findings and adapting to each patient's unique presentation and needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure cohesive care; recognize and document any changes in a patient's condition that may necessitate adjustments to the treatment plan or the need for further medical consultations.
• Engage in effective discharge planning, ensuring comprehensive follow-up care and uninterrupted progress in patients' rehabilitation journeys.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care activities, including treatment notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations, contributing to a clear continuum of care.
• Participate in facility meetings and training sessions, continuously updating knowledge and skills to align with evolving healthcare practices.
• Actively engage in initiatives aimed at removing barriers to access and understanding site-specific measurements impacting patient care and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily treat patients within the outpatient orthopedic realm, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our goal is to empower these individuals, helping them navigate the path to recovery through expert evaluation, hands-on treatment, and ongoing support. You will be an integral part of their healing journey, working together to achieve established goals and enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current physical therapy licensure in Virginia, granted by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, showcasing a strong understanding of patient care protocols.
• A current CPR certification is required to ensure preparedness in any emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with diverse patient demographics and conditions commonly treated in outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits
