Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Culpeper, Virginia, our rehabilitation center provides a focused and supportive onsite work environment. Operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will join a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to orthopedic rehabilitation. Our center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a wide array of therapeutic tools designed to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, ensuring understanding and adherence to Virginia state practice acts regulating physical therapy.
• Conduct thorough evaluations, including patient history reviews and specific clinical assessments, to document findings and tailor recommendations effectively.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions based on ongoing evaluations, adapting techniques as necessary to meet the evolving needs of patients and optimizing their recovery pathways.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, actively consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed, and promptly documenting any significant changes in patients' conditions.
• Execute effective discharge planning and provide follow-up care to ensure a seamless transition for patients after their therapy concludes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to reflect patient progress and fulfill requirements of the changing healthcare landscape, ensuring clarity in the patient's therapeutic journey.
• Participate in staff training and compliance initiatives to align with corporate and regulatory standards and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
• Engage in facility meetings, contributing insights toward the improvement of patient access and service delivery, and actively participate in our initiatives aimed at enhancing community health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists specialize in treating a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will be essential in guiding patients through tailored rehabilitative exercises and education, aimed at empowering them to achieve independence and enhance overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Possess a current state license as a Physical Therapist (PT), granted by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating a strong foundational knowledge and practical capability in this specialty.
• Maintain a current CPR certification to ensure readiness in providing emergency care if necessary.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional certifications in specialized rehabilitation techniques or advanced therapeutic modalities would be advantageous. Experience in utilizing modern physical therapy software systems for patient management and documentation is also preferred.
