Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness in Culpeper, Virginia, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our enthusiastic team. In this full-time role, you will not only work closely with patients as they navigate their journey to recovery but also make a significant impact on their quality of life. The team is comprised of highly qualified professionals who are passionate about improving patients' physical capabilities through evidence-based practices.

Work Environment

The rehabilitation center is equipped with modern technologies and a spacious layout of 5,000 square feet dedicated to sports medicine and rehabilitation. You will join a small yet dynamic team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our collaborative environment fosters an atmosphere where knowledge is shared, best practices are implemented, and patients receive the highest quality care. The workplace operates on a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, providing a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to identify patients' objectives, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Manage a caseload with a targeted therapy model to ensure thorough treatment, generally handling one patient per hour.
• Develop personalized treatment strategies that may include hands-on manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and rehabilitation techniques aimed at improving patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Utilize up-to-date methodologies to minimize reliance on medications, instead promoting non-surgical alternatives whenever suitable.
• Create individualized wellness programs that incorporate fitness goals, education, and daily living activities to support patient recovery.
• Incorporate evidence-based interventions and stay updated with the latest research to provide outstanding patient care.
• Encourage patient participation and motivation, guiding them in their journey to achieve functional improvement and self-management.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and comprehensive care for every patient.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness, documenting all patient interactions and outcomes clearly to track progress and communicate with the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal disorders. With a focus on helping patients regain their functionality, we cater to a diverse clientele ranging from athletes to retirees, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your role will directly contribute to restoring their mobility and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Proven track record of maintaining a clean professional record, showcasing no prior disciplinary actions.
• Strong mastery of manual therapy techniques, combined with excellent clinical reasoning and judgment.
• Exceptional ability to create and implement effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficient in utilizing WebPT EMR Software for patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven ability to implement effective treatment strategies.
• Demonstrated success in motivating and guiding patients through their rehabilitation journeys.
• Experience with advanced rehabilitation technologies or modalities is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
