Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations which include detailed assessments of mobility and physical capabilities and development of tailored treatment plans.

• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment objectives to patients and their families, ensuring they are engaged in the decision-making process regarding their care.

• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluations, adapting plans as necessary to account for patient progress and needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, consulting with other healthcare professionals when required to optimize patient outcomes.

• Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with regulatory and accrediting standards, covering all aspects from initial assessments to discharge summaries.

• Manage time efficiently to meet productivity expectations while maintaining an organized schedule of patient appointments.

• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives that promote health and wellness, fostering positive relations with the local community.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities and pursue continuing education opportunities to ensure best practices in patient care.

• Contribute to departmental goals and metrics, actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, strokes, and various musculoskeletal injuries. You will work closely with each patient to create customized rehabilitation programs that are both effective and considerate of their unique recovery needs and goals. Establishing strong patient-therapist relationships is fundamental, as it enhances compliance and fosters a supportive healing environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia is mandatory.

• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is required.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to patient care are essential for this role.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience in a similar setting is not required, internships or clinical rotations in home care is a plus.

• Experience with evidence-based practice and a solid understanding of physical therapy methodologies will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Pace Physical Therapy & Wellness Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, the benefits package includes:
