This position is designed for remote work within a community health clinic framework, allowing you to provide critical support to clients from the comfort of your home. You will collaborate closely with a team of experienced professionals, including the Clinical Director and Executive Director, to establish a therapeutic environment that promotes ongoing recovery and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW at Silver Head Psychiatry Clinic, your contributions will directly influence the recovery journeys of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate client counseling needs, focusing on both mental health and substance use issues.

• Utilizing DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to assess for substance abuse diagnoses and determining appropriate levels of care based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) standards.

• Preparing comprehensive treatment plans that include substance abuse counseling components tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
\n
• Developing client discharge and continuum of care plans to ensure smooth transitions between levels of support.
\n
• Documenting all counseling services, assessments, and follow-ups in the client’s clinical record with meticulous attention to detail.
\n
• Managing a designated caseload, including necessary case management and utilization review updates.
\n
• Coordinating support services for clients and their families, ensuring clear communication is maintained within clinical records.
\n
• Engaging with various referral sources, including legal and educational institutions, to provide comprehensive support for clients.

• Employing crisis intervention strategies with a multi-disciplinary team to effectively address urgent client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with clients facing dual diagnoses, particularly those struggling with both mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Your expertise in co-occurring counseling will be invaluable in providing holistic support and fostering meaningful client outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Current LCSW license in the state of California.

Compensation and Benefits\n
