Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health and document these encounters for ongoing reference.

• Evaluate clients through comprehensive assessments aimed at identifying their needs and challenges.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, and families, ensuring evidence-based treatment options are utilized.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging client participation and progress.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously throughout their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive client care.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to prevent behaviors that may hinder progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges within their family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a varied client base which includes individuals, couples, and groups facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. The diverse backgrounds of our clients necessitate a culturally sensitive and adaptable approach to counseling.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• A valid score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a proven track record of providing effective therapy interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for clinical documentation.

• Familiarity with existing mental health conditions and disorders, alongside the impact of addiction on overall mental health.

• Awareness of current best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong knowledge base regarding pharmacological treatments and their effects, as prescribed by collaborating medical professionals.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, alongside a strong capacity for empathy and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an annual salary between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
