Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will be tasked with:

• Directing individualized physical therapy interventions designed to prevent disability, relieve pain, enhance muscle function, and maintain optimal patient performance.
• Evaluating clients' functional abilities using advanced diagnostic and prognostic assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans based on their specific needs.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring that interventions align with established care plans and regulatory standards.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, instructions, and motivational support to clients both in rehabilitation and functional activities.
• Conducting home evaluations to offer recommendations that enhance patient independence in their living environments.
• Preparing comprehensive clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, to effectively communicate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team case conferences to collaboratively develop treatment strategies and share insights with peers.
• Actively engaging with clients and their families to educate them about the treatment process and equip them with skills necessary for their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on adult and geriatric populations, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, those managing chronic conditions, and patients with mobility challenges. You will need to adapt your therapeutic techniques based on varied diagnoses and personal circumstances, ensuring that every treatment plan is as unique as the patient.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred).
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical or home healthcare setting.
• Current CPR certification to support emergency response and patient safety.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for travel between patient visits as required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
