You’ll work primarily from home, providing both in-home therapy sessions and outpatient services as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy in an outpatient setting, tailoring approaches based on the unique needs of each child and family.

• Deliver therapeutic techniques aimed at anger management, building coping strategies, and enhancing social skills while reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Support youth and their caregivers in improving decision-making abilities for managing behavioral challenges at home, fostering a positive family dynamic.
\n
• Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team, sharing insights and strategies with professionals from various disciplines to ensure comprehensive support for the family.

• Document therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes promptly and accurately to maintain clear communication and tracking of each client's journey.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing recommendations to enrich our services and address emerging challenges within our client population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support children between the ages of 3 and 20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our client base is diverse, as we aim to reflect the rich cultural landscape of Orlando, Florida. Your work will significantly enhance the well-being and stability of these children and their families, impacting their quality of life and future opportunities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is essential; weekend hours are highly advantageous.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are required for travel to in-home therapy sessions.
\n
• Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting, to ensure a safe environment for clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and implementing behavioral interventions is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and modalities effective for younger populations is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
