Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to effectively identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing diagnostic tools and interviews to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based therapy services through individual sessions, group workshops, and family counseling, employing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others as appropriate.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including case managers and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care, sharing insights and fostering a unified treatment approach.

• Be prepared to offer crisis intervention services, addressing acute distressing situations with immediacy and empathy, to foster immediate stabilization for clients in need.

• Participate in outreach programs and mental health education initiatives to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients, drawn from the diverse population of New York City, include individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This position demands a culturally competent approach to care, enabling you to build rapport and trust with clients. You will have the opportunity to work with clients facing conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more, each requiring a personalized and nuanced treatment strategy.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage and build therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and competence in working with individuals from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on maintaining thorough and timely documentation of client sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in community mental health settings, ideally with a background in crisis intervention and therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
