Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices to develop individualized treatment plans that address specific rehabilitative needs.
• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing strength and function through exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices.
• Regularly evaluate and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed outcomes and patient feedback.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans that prioritize patient-centered goals and coordinated efforts.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families, empowering them with techniques and strategies for effective home exercises to foster long-term wellness.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to state and federal regulations, contributing to the continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on residents recovering from surgeries, illnesses, and injuries, including those with diverse conditions such as orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, and post-acute surgeries. We aim to serve a broad range of individuals, helping them regain their strength and mobility through personalized, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program; a Doctorate or Master's degree is preferred.
• Possessing an active and unrestricted Virginia Physical Therapy License is essential for this position.
• Demonstrable commitment to patient care with strong clinical reasoning and an empathetic approach to therapy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial to successfully working within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
