Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and establish therapeutic rapport with clients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for discussions.

• Effectively manage crises that may arise during teletherapy sessions, using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
\n
• Maintain responsibility for accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring that all records are updated in the electronic medical records system during or immediately following services.
\n
• Engage collaboratively with the entire treatment team, participating in weekly meetings to discuss treatment progress and set goals for client care.
\n
• Facilitate the admission process for new clients with professionalism, guiding them through necessary assessments and paperwork in a welcoming manner.
\n
• Provide ongoing support and feedback to both clients and their families, ensuring they feel involved in the treatment process and aware of next steps.
\n
• Coordinate and communicate with the Utilization Review Department and other departments regarding client authorizations, care transitions, and discharge plans.
\n
• Implement discharge planning from the first day of client admission, culminating in structured discharge sessions that solidify coping strategies and resources for a smooth transition out of care.
\n
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness and our services within Albany and surrounding regions.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals facing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related issues, and various other mental health concerns. This role involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages, from children to adults, fostering an inclusive approach to mental health that reflects the diverse community we serve.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited program.

• Current independent licensure in Oregon (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems and telehealth platforms.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially via electronic means.
\n
• A demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload effectively, prioritizing patient safety and therapeutic efficacy.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a remote or telehealth counseling role is highly desirable.

• Previous involvement in crisis intervention, treatment planning, and discharge planning is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
