Other duties may be assigned)** Carefully plan meals to ensure that residents’ food needs are being met.* Purchase food to follow posted menus and standardized recipes.* Oversee food inventory by monitoring for proper food temperature, rotating, and storing food properly to eliminate waste.* Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, utensils, and equipment after meals.* Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles.* Verify that prepared food meets the requirements for quality, quantity, and any dietary needs.* Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.* Requisition food products, check inventory when delivered for accuracy and quality.* Record supply usage for inventory and records.* Supervise and provide direction for other Cooks at LWH.* Ensure that food safety guidelines are followed, including sanitation and health & safety standards.* Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.* Maintain standards of confidentiality of Lifeways’ clients and records.* Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with Lifeway’s policies/procedures, Oregon Administrative Rules, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.## Qualifications*Required:** High School Diploma or GED* At least 1-3 years’ experience in food service* Valid driver’s license* Successful completion of background check and drug testing* Current CPR certification* AVADE training completion within 90 days of hire #J-18808-Ljbffr
