Work Environment\n

The position operates entirely through telehealth, allowing you to work remotely while maintaining essential connections with patients. In this supportive and adaptable environment, you will utilize advanced technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems to conduct virtual therapy sessions effectively. As a part of our virtual practice, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule within standard working hours, typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, ensuring they are culturally sensitive and reflective of each patient's unique experiences.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to meet individual and group needs.

• Lead various therapy sessions—individual, family, and group—to address mental health concerns, enhance coping skills, and promote overall well-being.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to provide coordinated care and maximize treatment outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, employing strong de-escalation techniques and support strategies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, their treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their care.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient interactions are documented thoroughly.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training in cultural competency to enhance team effectiveness and improve patient care.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices related to mental health therapy, with a focus on diverse populations and culturally informed approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on providing mental health support to a diverse client base, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and underrepresented groups. By bringing cultural awareness and sensitivity into your practice, you will help create a safe space for patients to explore their mental health challenges and develop resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and cultural competence.

• Proven experience providing therapy to individuals and groups with an emphasis on inclusivity and cultural responsiveness.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention, ensuring you can remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, allowing you to build rapport with diverse patient populations.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and other relevant technology to facilitate seamless patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
