Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, utilizing appropriate assessment tools.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support client progress.

• Provide ongoing education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, discussing treatment options and fostering self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to address the comprehensive needs of clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in treating mood disorders, integrating new insights into practice to enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Resilient Roots Center, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your clientele will encompass a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences, including those who may face additional challenges such as homelessness, trauma due to domestic violence, or the stress of displacement as refugees. Your empathetic and tailored approach will empower clients to reclaim their lives and achieve wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
