Take on a pivotal role supporting students and faculty in a dynamic K–8 environment just outside Glendale, AZ, as a Special Education professional. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract position combines the responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher with the leadership duties of a SPED Director. Enjoy a manageable caseload of roughly 30–35 students receiving both push-in and pull-out services, fostering effective learning through strategic scheduling and grouping.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Special Education Certification
• Active IVP Card
• Demonstrable experience managing IEPs and case management
• Previous experience as a Special Education Director
• Exceptional organization, self-motivation, and collaborative skills
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students with IEPs in grades K–8 within a resource setting
• Develop, write, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and progress toward goals
• Lead and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and families
• Provide direct push-in and pull-out instruction tailored to student needs
• Manage a manageable caseload with a focus on strategic scheduling and student grouping
• Serve a dual leadership role as SPED Director, collaborating on department goals and initiatives
• Assist in screening incoming students for special education evaluations as needed
• Build rapport within a close-knit school community, supporting colleagues and families alike
