Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite in various home care settings across Port Charlotte, providing a flexible yet structured approach to patient physical therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations influenced by their specific health challenges.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that leverage a combination of therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and assistive equipment to enhance mobility and function.
• Employ hands-on techniques to reduce pain, reinforce movement patterns, and restore overall physical function.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including treatment responses and reassessments, to evaluate the efficacy of interventions and adjust the care plan accordingly.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the appropriate use of assistive devices and home exercises to promote ongoing recovery and independence.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of best practices in physical therapy by participating in professional development workshops and engaging with peer networks.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and elderly individuals recovering from various conditions such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Your expertise will empower clients to regain their independence and improve their quality of life through focused and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficient in technical skills, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems, for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs and customize treatment approaches.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic working environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in home care or outpatient physical therapy.
• Familiarity with assistive devices and their applications in facilitating patient movement and enhancing daily living activities.
• Experience developing and leading rehabilitation programs that align with best practices in patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our benefits package includes:
