This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our clients and colleagues. You will have access to an outpatient office setting for collaborative meetings and support outside of your home office. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Renewal Path, you will engage with clients through both individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate their treatment process. Your essential responsibilities will include:

• Supporting clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to their treatment, using motivational interviewing and solution-focused techniques.

• Collaborating closely with Primary Therapists to develop and regularly update comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
\n
• Conducting weekly individual counseling sessions for all assigned clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities and best practices.
\n
• Facilitating group counseling sessions and educational workshops in accordance with the program schedule to enhance peer support and learning.
\n
• Coordinating and overseeing all necessary treatment services for your caseload to ensure holistic care.
\n
• Maintaining regular communication with client family members and referral sources to foster a supportive treatment environment.
\n
• Participating actively in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to clinical team meetings focused on case discussions and best practice sharing.

• Ensuring comprehensive documentation in client charts, meeting licensing standards, and managing quality assurance processes for clinical records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve diverse adult clients seeking support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. While experience working with geriatric populations is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role. Each day, you will play a crucial role in implementing individualized strategies aimed at improving mental health outcomes and enhancing overall quality of life for our clients.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Valid and active licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC. Note that applicants with an associate license cannot be considered at this time due to Medicare billing restrictions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, to support clinical documentation and communication efforts.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple cases while maintaining a strong focus on client needs and outcomes.

• Strong self-direction and independent working skills to responsibly manage your workload and case management tasks.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with experience working with elderly populations or those facing geriatric mental health issues will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience in conducting remote therapy sessions are beneficial but not mandatory.
