Work Environment

This position will be performed onsite, primarily within the home care setting where our therapists visit patients in their homes, allowing for personalized assessments and tailored treatment in a comfortable environment. The typical work schedule runs Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available, including 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. Each day provides a dynamic environment, with opportunities to engage with patients in diverse scenarios, enhancing both professional skills and patient relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions and formulate individualized treatment plans that encompass a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, and modalities like ultrasound.
• Implement rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall function, while successfully managing pain and other symptoms.
• Engage in clinical teaching, providing mentorship to physical therapy interns and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of learning within the organization.
• Stay updated on the latest orthopedic treatment methods by participating in continuing education and potentially initiating clinical research under managerial guidance.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and treatment outcomes efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your practice will be on outpatient orthopedic clients, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with patients of varying ages and activity levels, tailoring your approach to address their specific rehabilitation needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with a preference for those who have pursued a Master's Degree or higher.
• Possession of a valid and active New York State Physical Therapy license is mandatory to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting focusing on orthopedic physical therapy is required, demonstrating your ability to deliver high-quality care.
• Strong clinical skills in evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation are essential for success in this role.
• Exceptional communication skills are necessary to effectively educate and motivate patients through their rehabilitation journeys.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred, demonstrating your specialized knowledge and skill set in this area.

Compensation and Benefits
