Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial consultations with clients, including comprehensive preliminary interviews to gather relevant background information and document their mental health history.

• Utilize standardized assessment tools to evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, which guides the formulation of individualized treatment plans.

• Develop and implement effective intervention strategies tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques designed to foster healing and personal development.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress against treatment goals, making necessary adjustments to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals, medical doctors, and social workers, to create comprehensive care plans.

• Maintain open communication with psychiatrists and medical staff regarding clients who may be hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and proactively address behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering support and strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Guide family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health concerns, equipping them with tools for support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse range of clients grappling with various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. The therapist will engage with individuals from different backgrounds and demographics, emphasizing the importance of culturally competent care tailored to each client's unique history and experiences. This role plays a vital part in helping our clients navigate their mental health journeys and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrable experience in providing mental health counseling, showcasing a strong track record of supporting clients towards recovery.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to document sessions and track client progress.
\n
• Familiarity with screening and treating underlying physical and emotional health conditions, with additional experience managing addiction disorders considered a plus.

• Solid understanding of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside outstanding interpersonal abilities that foster client trust and collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working within telehealth environments, demonstrating adaptability to remote service delivery.

• Knowledge of the effects and management of psychotropic medications is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
