Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist (OPT)

Atmore Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team at our Fairview, New Jersey location. Work Environment

This full-time role is located in our outpatient office in Fairview, New Jersey. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and resources that facilitate a supportive and effective rehabilitation process. The work hours involve 40 hours per week, with a variable schedule that may include weekend shifts. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and patient-centered setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and disabilities, leading to the formulation of personalized treatment plans.
• Engage with patients to implement treatment plans, including hands-on therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with professional standards and regulatory guidelines, ensuring accurate billing and coding for services rendered.
• Provide consultations to other healthcare providers about the patient's ongoing care, facilitating a seamless continuum of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment modifications, and discharge planning.
• Support the professional development of assigned support staff by overseeing their activities and providing educational opportunities.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives, representing Atmore Physical Therapy to help raise awareness about our services.
• Continuously improve clinical skills through participation in continuing education workshops, in-services, and self-directed learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on helping patients with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain management. Our diverse patient population ranges from adolescents to seniors, each with unique needs and rehabilitation goals. You will be responsible for establishing strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in computer applications relevant to patient documentation and office management.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in outpatient physical therapy settings will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a background in managing a diverse patient caseload will further enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
