Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting in-depth preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client histories and document findings from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluating and monitoring the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients using standardized assessment tools.
\n
• Developing personalized intervention strategies and recovery plans for a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and specialized groups.
\n
• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and healing.
\n
• Continuously assessing client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary based on feedback and observed outcomes.

• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to align on comprehensive care pathways.

• Coordinating follow-up interactions with physicians regarding clients who may be hospitalized or in need of additional services.

• Identifying any barriers to recovery among clients and proactively addressing them with preventive measures.

• Providing guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to enhance their capacity to assist individuals facing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma. Our clients are primarily based in the Los Angeles area, reflecting a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences. The commitment to cultural competency is essential in ensuring clients feel understood and validated in their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a solid track record of client care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with preference for familiarity with AVATAR.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as issues related to addiction.

• Knowledge of and adherence to the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An understanding of psychopharmacology, including the effects and interactions of medications prescribed by other health professionals.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on empathetic client interactions.

• Strong interpersonal skills that enable building trusting relationships with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

North Oasis offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
