The Gutierrez Oncology & Internal Medicine Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in cardiology to join our dynamic healthcare team in beautiful Niagara Falls, New York. Work Environment

The NP role is primarily onsite in our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in Niagara Falls. This facility is equipped with the latest technology to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in cardiology. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team that includes cardiologists, other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative staff, all working together within a supportive and engaging work atmosphere. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call duties or weekend shifts, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cardiologists to provide comprehensive care to patients coping with various heart-related issues.
• Manage and monitor patients experiencing chronic conditions such as hypertension and high cholesterol, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conduct thorough assessments and deliver outpatient Electrophysiology services for patients presenting with arrhythmias and other electrocardiogram abnormalities.
• Evaluate patients with acute cardiovascular conditions, including but not limited to Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Perform stress testing and interpret results to assist in clinical decision-making.
• Document patient histories and evaluations clearly and accurately, prescribing medications as indicated.
• Facilitate referrals to internal specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to promote better understanding of their conditions and treatment options.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is essential, and a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required, along with current certification in the specialty area.
• Active and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York State.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a cardiology setting, whether in inpatient or outpatient care, is highly desirable.
• New graduates with a passion for cardiology and relevant clinical rotations will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 120,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
