Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cardiac examinations and assessments to evaluate patients' cardiovascular health.
• Diagnose and formulate management plans for a variety of cardiovascular diseases, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension.
• Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists to create individualized treatment plans customized to each patient's specific condition and needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress tests, to aid in accurate disease diagnosis.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that encompass medication management, lifestyle alterations, and patient education aimed at enhancing long-term health outcomes.
• Work cohesively with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, and allied health staff to provide coordinated care and support for patients.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with patients and their families, employing clear and empathetic communication to ensure understanding and comfort.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will primarily consist of individuals diagnosed with cardiovascular issues, ranging from mild to severe conditions. You will engage with diverse demographics, effectively addressing their unique health challenges, promoting preventive care measures, and supporting them in managing their conditions. Your role is vital in bridging the gap between complex cardiac care and patient education, fostering a proactive approach to heart health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Possession of a current Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the State of New York.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient care efficiently.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and collaborate seamlessly with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a cardiology setting is preferred.
• Previous experience in managing patients with cardiovascular diseases is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off.
