Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status, including their emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s specific goals, ensuring a tailored approach to therapy.

• Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing various evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused approaches.

• Use teletherapy tools to conduct virtual sessions, ensuring a professional and confidential environment.

• Offer crisis intervention services as necessary, employing effective strategies to support clients during acute episodes.

• Engage in continuous professional development, attending training and workshops to stay abreast of the latest trends and practices within the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be primarily working with adult clients facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and relationship challenges. Our client population is diverse, and therapists are encouraged to utilize culturally competent approaches that resonate with the individual backgrounds and experiences of their clients.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid and current license in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients quickly are essential. Therapists should exhibit compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach.

• Demonstrated organizational skills, time management capabilities, and the ability to handle multiple clients efficiently.
\n
• Must have no history of disciplinary actions by any licensing board.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a telehealth setting is preferred but not required, as training on our systems will be provided.

• Previous work with diverse populations and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices will be an advantage.

• Compensation is competitive, with a salary range of $90,000 to $104,000 per year, depending on the size of your caseload.
