Key Responsibilities\n

• Administer comprehensive mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to assist clients in managing stress and enhancing their emotional well-being.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to comprehensively identify each client’s unique stressors, aspirations, and therapeutic goals, allowing you to tailor mindfulness practices accordingly.

• Facilitate mindfulness exercises, meditation sessions, and breathing techniques in both individual and group settings, aimed at promoting self-awareness, stress relief, and emotional balance.

• Develop and deliver engaging group workshops on mindfulness practices and resilience-building strategies, creating a community of support among participants.

• Integrate new mindfulness techniques into individual therapy sessions, focusing on clients’ specific mental health concerns to aid in their overall personal growth and stability.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to create a unified and effective treatment strategy that incorporates mindfulness principles.

• Maintain accurate records of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment strategies to ensure comprehensive care and support for all clients.

• Commit to ongoing personal mindfulness practice and professional development, continually enhancing your expertise in MBSR and related therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with adults experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and personal life transitions. You will utilize a client-centered approach, fostering a therapeutic alliance that encourages openness and honesty, allowing clients to feel safe while exploring their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Prior experience or training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
