Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations, identifying the mental health needs and strengths of patients, thereby creating tailored treatment plans suited to individual circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, among others.

• Facilitate support and psychoeducational groups, promoting a sense of community and providing shared learning experiences around mental health topics.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and to discuss treatment efficacy during case consultations.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, using your judgment to de-escalate situations effectively.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all patient interactions and treatment plans are well recorded and accessible.

• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities that LifeWorks offers, staying current with advancements in therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele ranges from adolescents to adults dealing with various mental health issues, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. We emphasize a patient-centered approach, meaning that counselors will actively involve patients in their treatment process, ensuring that the therapeutic journey aligns with their personal goals and values.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure in Washington State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting mental health assessments and formulating comprehensive treatment plans based on best practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which facilitate rapport-building with clients and effective teamwork.

• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining client confidentiality and demonstrating sound judgment in professional interactions.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of direct experience in providing individual and group therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
