Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions remotely and providing group therapy sessions at our outpatient office.

• Employing therapeutic techniques to address anger management, coping strategies, social skills enhancement, and reducing high-risk behaviors like self-injury or aggression.

• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to design and implement effective behavioral interventions.

• Documenting essential treatment details, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to designated time frames.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss insights, share recommendations, and enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving children and adolescents between the ages of 3 to 20 years, particularly those with developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). You will engage with a diverse cross-section of clients presenting various emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges. This important work not only addresses immediate therapeutic needs but also fosters long-term development and coping skills that enable children to thrive.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in New Jersey.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, especially during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility regarded as a valuable asset.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for occasional in-person appointments.
