As a remote role, the position allows for flexible working hours, particularly after-school sessions and group therapy. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions, as well as group therapy in our outpatient clinic, adapting each session to meet the specific needs of clients.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities to address high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, emphasizing skills such as anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development.

• Engage directly with youth and their caregivers to improve decision-making skills, equipping families to navigate in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to synchronize approaches and enhance the overall support for each family.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to contribute to ongoing care and regulatory compliance.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and contribute to a cohesive treatment approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves a diverse population of children aged 3 to 20 with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and providing culturally sensitive care is paramount. You will play a crucial role in either individual or family therapy, adapting your approach based on each child’s unique needs and family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Current, active, and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Florida is essential.

• Availability to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM, with a willingness to work occasional weekends.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience providing positive behavior support, specifically with children and adolescents.

• Experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visit facilitation.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprint verification.
