Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Saint Petersburg, a city known for its vibrant culture and community spirit. You will work within a state-of-the-art clinic tailored for outpatient care, where you’ll find a supportive and collaborative atmosphere among a diverse team of healthcare professionals. The clinic operates during regular business hours, facilitating work-life balance with a schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
• Implement medication management strategies, closely monitoring the effectiveness and side effects of prescribed treatments while adjusting plans as needed.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care that addresses both psychiatric and physical health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention during critical emotional situations, employing de-escalation techniques and supportive measures to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness, providing education on resources, programs, and available services to individuals and families.
• Offer therapeutic support through individual and group counseling sessions, employing strategies such as psychoeducation and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in full compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all documentation is thorough and up to date.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The nurse practitioner will work with a diverse group of patients, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups, each with unique mental health challenges. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a focus in psychiatric care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
