Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, from initial assessments to final treatment summaries, ensuring detailed documentation throughout the client's journey.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, employing evidence-based interventions for individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to help clients achieve their goals.
\n
• Monitor and adjust treatment strategies based on continual assessment of client progress, utilizing feedback to enhance care delivery.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive care plans that address the multifaceted needs of our clients.

• Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with external providers for referrals and following up on client treatment with hospital staff when necessary.

• Assist families and primary caregivers by providing education and strategies to manage psychological challenges and support their loved ones' recovery journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly familiarity with AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor or therapist in an outpatient setting.

• Knowledge of best practices in mental health care as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders and complex emotional and physical health issues.

• An understanding of psychopharmacology and how various medications can influence client treatment.
