Work Environment\n

This position allows for remote work, promoting a work-life balance while ensuring that therapists can effectively serve our patients. Our team places strong emphasis on collaboration, professional growth, and cultural competency training. The work schedule primarily runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility to adjust hours as needed to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and culturally sensitive mental health assessments that provide insight into each patient’s unique experiences and challenges.

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of individual clients.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns, fostering resilience, and enhancing overall well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and holistic patient care.

• Provide support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring client safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about various mental health conditions, appropriate treatment options, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, primarily using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and learning from cultural competency training sessions.

• Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations that inform mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with a variety of populations who may face unique mental health challenges due to their diverse backgrounds. You will be instrumental in providing a supportive environment for ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrants, ensuring that they receive inclusive care designed to empower them on their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment therapies, and culturally competent care practices.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with culturally responsive approaches.
\n
• Demonstrate excellent crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships with a diverse client base.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

• A commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and client confidentiality.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.

Safe Place Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
