Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients and document their mental health histories, ensuring continuous care from initial assessment through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify needs and appropriate levels of care.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that account for the unique circumstances of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate impactful individual and group therapy sessions focusing on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and skill-building.
\n
• Monitor and assess clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

• Follow up with clients admitted to hospitals and provide necessary referrals for additional support services.
\n
• Assist family members in navigating the complexities of their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse population within the Stockton community, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and relationship issues. Your work will not only contribute to the recovery of these individuals but also empower their families by equipping them with effective management strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score obtained in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.
\n
• Understanding of physical health conditions and their emotional impact, as well as experience in dealing with addiction-related cases.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on client-centered care.

• Strong interpersonal skills that reflect empathy and a dedication to patient well-being.

Preferred Experience\n

• Knowledge of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
