Work Environment\n

This role provides the flexibility of remote work while being part of a collaborative outpatient team dedicated to providing compassionate care. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and while the schedule is primarily fixed, there may be some flexibility based on the evolving needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and guide treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies optimized for trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions that foster emotional processing, coping skills development, and therapeutic support for patients.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring our patients receive holistic treatment.
\n
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support to patients during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities focusing on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance our service delivery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-focused interventions.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

• The ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology for clinical documentation.

• A strong aptitude for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health therapy, particularly in trauma-focused treatments.

• Experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities specific to trauma recovery.
