Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, including diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, to develop tailored treatment plans in consultation with primary care providers.

• Provide brief, focused interventions and therapeutic techniques aimed at addressing acute mental health issues and fostering positive coping strategies.

• Monitor and assess patient outcomes, initiating follow-up consultations to adapt treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with primary care staff to integrate mental health strategies within broader medical treatment and community resources.

• Document all necessary diagnostic information and patient progress in an electronic health record system to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

• Facilitate the development of relapse prevention plans and support patients in attaining stable emotional wellness.
\n
• Educate patients on self-management skills and empower them to be active participants in their treatment journey.

• Consult with clinic management and interdisciplinary team members to refine behavioral health services and recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population includes individuals from various backgrounds, each facing unique mental health challenges. As a counselor, you will work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological issues. A focus on culturally competent practices is essential to effectively address the diverse needs of our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• Possession of a current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Georgia.

• Thorough understanding of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities, including knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostics.

• Ability to evaluate patients' psychosocial needs and provide suitable interventions.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, their families, and the care team.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in a telehealth setting is highly valued, along with proficiency in bi-lingual services, particularly in English and Spanish. Familiarity with the complexities of mental health within a primary care context will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
