As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in restoring mobility and enhancing the overall quality of life for patients in a home care setting. Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence, as you will be directly engaged with patients in their homes, allowing for personalized care in a familiar environment. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet flexible atmosphere that encourages a work-life balance. You will engage with patients one-on-one, ensuring that each session is productive and focused on their therapeutic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans that aim to restore mobility and increase physical function.
• Manage a patient case load of approximately one individual per hour, providing focused and personalized therapy sessions.
• Implement therapy modalities that promote physical rehabilitation and enhance patients' capabilities while minimizing the need for medication.
• Design fitness and wellness programs to address specific patient needs, ensuring alignment with their overall health goals.
• Regularly document treatment progress and outcomes using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention and wellness strategies, encouraging active participation in their recovery.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as required to enhance effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients requiring rehabilitative care in a home setting. This includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will utilize your knowledge to administer targeted therapies that take into consideration each patient's lifestyle, preferences, and individual health challenges. By building meaningful relationships with patients, you'll encourage adherence to treatment protocols and foster an environment conducive to healing.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT).
• A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Florida, with no record of disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a strong background in designing and executing exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Experience working with EMR systems, with WebPT being highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience practicing in orthopedic outpatient settings, dealing with a variety of rehabilitation scenarios.
• Insight into home healthcare processes and familiarity with community resources that can assist in patient rehabilitation.
• Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
