Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Bright Shelter Healing Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Regular communication with medical professionals, including physicians, to relay patient progress, needs, concerns, and any potential issues that arise.

• Maintenance of accurate clinical records and progress notes that adhere to departmental guidelines, ensuring both compliance and quality of care.

• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create cohesive treatment plans, including thorough discharge planning based on psychosocial assessments.

• Direct counseling and crisis intervention for clients, providing assessments and treatments for emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Assisting clients with discharge planning, ensuring smooth transitions, and effective care coordination across various health service providers.

• Engagement with clients’ families and support networks during the treatment and discharge planning process to enhance support systems and improve outcomes.

This role emphasizes a client-centered approach for individuals facing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess:

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or an equivalent state-issued license.

• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapy and counseling methods.

• Proficiency in delivering evidence-based mental health services, ensuring best practices in therapy.

• The ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, showcasing high organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• Competency in using computer systems and applications, particularly Microsoft Office tools necessary for documentation and communication.
