Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that take into consideration individual developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific mental health challenges.

• Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to address issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Offer crisis intervention techniques to manage emergency situations involving children and adolescents in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that support their journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development workshops to enhance therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health issues. You will engage with a diverse client population, addressing conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and various behavioral challenges. Your work aims to empower these young individuals by fostering resilience, improving coping skills, and enhancing their overall emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a strong emphasis on child and adolescent mental health.

• Proven expertise in therapeutic modalities utilized in individual and family therapy settings.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families using a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• The capacity to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and engage effectively with multidisciplinary professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), or play therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 75,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a competitive sign-on bonus.
