While most work is conducted from home, you may occasionally attend in-person team meetings at our Columbus office to discuss treatment strategies, participate in case consultations, and engage in professional development.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools and observations.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account developmental stages and family dynamics, ensuring each plan is tailored to the specific needs of the young patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy, effectively addressing various mental health concerns.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Deliver crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support during mental health emergencies, and ensuring appropriate follow-up care.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment processes, and available community resources to empower them in their journeys.

• Accurately document all patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in record-keeping.

• Participate actively in team meetings, contribute to case consultations, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices and new research in child mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse population of children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges. These challenges may include anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and more. Understanding the unique developmental needs of this age group is crucial, as your role will focus on building rapport and trust with young clients and their families to facilitate effective therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is mandatory.

• Deep understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is USD 80,000 – 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
