Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office in Fairfax, Virginia, where we provide a comfortable and supportive setting for both our patients and staff. Our clinic is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and resources to assist in effective rehabilitation processes. The ideal candidate will work from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring a work-life balance while delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized physical therapy sessions for each patient, taking into account their unique needs, goals, and medical history.
• Maintain an optimal patient load that allows for sufficient time and individualized attention to each treatment session.
• Apply advanced knowledge of orthopedic outpatient care to create and execute effective treatment plans derived from evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement customized fitness and wellness programs, specifically designed to meet the health goals of individual patients.
• Regularly assess and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment methods as needed to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting confidence and active participation in their recovery.
• Document patient interactions comprehensively in EMR software such as WebPT, ensuring accurate records of all services provided.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to create a holistic approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with adult patients who are recovering from various orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Our client focus extends to individuals seeking to enhance their physical functionality, with an emphasis on empirical practices that prioritize non-surgical interventions and reduced reliance on medications.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Proven expertise in utilizing manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of diverse treatment modalities.
• Exceptional skills in designing and implementing effective exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Capable of using EMR systems efficiently, particularly WebPT, for clinical documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education and staying up-to-date with the latest physical therapy techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy settings, with a track record of managing a diverse patient caseload.
• Demonstrated ability to positively influence patient rehabilitation outcomes through personalized care delivery.
• Prior experience with sports medicine patients is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
