Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence, working within our state-of-the-art outpatient clinic. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a structured yet flexible work schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific goals and needs, regularly reassessing their progress.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to focus on quality care, dedicating time for one-on-one sessions that ensure thorough understanding of each patient's journey.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care, including evaluation and intervention strategies that promote recovery and wellness.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to administer cost-effective treatments aimed at enhancing patients' mobility.
• Encourage non-surgical alternatives when applicable, focusing on minimizing medication dependency and promoting holistic health.
• Design comprehensive care plans incorporating various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Facilitate wellness and fitness programs that address physical activity needs, enhancing overall patient health.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process to foster a positive outlook and commitment to their treatment goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, enhancing outcomes and satisfaction.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Document all services provided accurately, using EMR software (such as Web PT) to maintain comprehensive patient records and facilitate communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals with orthopedic conditions, and patients seeking physical rehabilitation post-surgery. Our focus is on delivering care that meets patients at their specific needs and levels, allowing for effective rehabilitation and encouraging an active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of disciplinary action.
• Exhibit proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of current, evidence-based physical therapy practices.
• Ability to efficiently utilize EMR systems for documentation, particularly familiarity with platforms like Web PT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting, particularly in sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective therapeutic exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, with a propensity for building rapport and trust with diverse patient groups.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and familiarity with the latest advancements in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
