Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop customized treatment plans.
• Utilize a wide variety of treatment techniques and modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, tailored to patient needs.
• Lead the interdisciplinary patient care team by collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic treatment.
• Integrate evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes and enhance patient recovery rates.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to cost management and efficiency within the therapy setting.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and continuously monitor progress towards recovery goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Deliver exemplary customer service, ensuring all patients feel valued and respected throughout their therapy journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient office serves a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from injuries, post-surgical patients, and individuals with chronic pain. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of conditions related to orthopedic, neuromuscular, and sports injuries. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering tailored care strategies that adhere to the highest standards of practice within the sports medicine domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification required upon hire.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Dependable, adaptable, and capable of multitasking in a busy outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in all interactions.
• Basic computer skills to maintain patient records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, particularly in sports medicine.
• Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred but not required.
• A track record of continuing education in relevant areas of physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
