Human Touch Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time role within our Orthopedic Outpatient team located in Demarest, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is based onsite in the home care setting, allowing for a unique and personalized interaction with patients in the comfort of their own homes. Our team utilizes a collaborative approach, working closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic recovery process. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a consistent routine for both our employees and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments for all patients to determine individual needs and document findings accurately.
• Develop and implement customized rehabilitation strategies based on evaluations, focusing on improving functional capabilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises designed to enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical well-being.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and facilitate functional recovery, employing methods such as joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes and ensure continuous improvement.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them on treatment methods and home care exercises to support recovery beyond therapy sessions.
• Document patient interactions, treatment results, and progress in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions. You will manage cases involving post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management, tailoring each rehabilitation plan to meet the unique needs and goals of individual patients. Your role is crucial in helping them achieve their desired outcomes through specialized care and compassion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Valid and current Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• A clear professional record with no disciplinary actions.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient care.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care or outpatient therapy settings is highly desirable.
• Specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient relationships and encourage adherence to prescribed therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
